Harry Anton, Jr.

June 2, 1964 — March 13, 2013

HARRY ANTON, JR.

Born June 2, 1964, he went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2013.  Age 48, he was a lifelong resident of the West Jefferson Hills area and a 1982 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.  Harry was the precious first born son of Harry, Sr. and Donna Anton; the loving husband of Cheryl (Bryner) Anton; devoted father to Ashley (Chris Kline) Anton, LaChelle (Tony) Skinta and Kaitlyn Anton; beloved Pappy to Anthony, Serena, Michael and Tyler; the cherished brother of Rhoda (Frank) Bresz, Carrie (Pat) Prosser and Tom (Michelle) Anton and the favored uncle to Kristie and Kellie Bresz, Hayley and Jake Prosser and Ben and Ella Anton.

Harry was loved by one and all.  He had a quick wit and loved making people laugh.  Most who knew him considered him one of their best friends.  One friendship however, was unique and special and that was Harry’s best friend Randy Shank.  A lifetime of memories was made with Steelers parties, summer picnics, golf outings and of course the annual family vacations to Top Sail.

Harry was employed by Portamedic of the Hooper Holmes Company where he was known as being the best in the industry.  He was the requested examiner by many insurance agents.  He had an enormous love of family and a great love for his Lord Jesus Christ and his church, the Library Baptist Church (Crossroads Ministries).  He especially loved having the opportunity to travel on a medical mission trip to the Philippines.  He loved learning about the country with Pastor Al Finney.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 2 – 8 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Library Baptist Church on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11 AM.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.  Burial following in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Philippines Mission Project c/o Library Baptist Church Walter Long Road, Finleyville, PA 15332.

He is leaving behind shattered hearts but Heaven has gained a new saint.  He is now reunited with his grandparents, who preceded him in death and whom he loved so much, Charles and Rhoda Davis and Anthony and Marie Anton.
