GWENDA (RICHARDS) SLACK
Gwenda Mae (Richards) Slack, age 88, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017. She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania September 30, 1928 the daughter of Thomas Humphrey Richards and Minnie Olive (Lutz) Richards.
Gwenda was the wife of the late Reverend Robert R. Slack, a United Methodist Minister who passed away October 24, 2015. She is survived by three children, Barbara A. (Ron) Lewis, Laura M. (Craig) Edwards and Thomas R. (Henrietta) Slack; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Lewis) Spatara, Rebecca Lewis, Jessica Lewis, Joshua Lewis, Chad Edwards, Cory Edwards, Nicole (Edwards) Morris and Thomas Slack II; eleven great grandchildren and a brother, Dr. Paul Richards.
Friends will be received on Tuesday August 8, 2017 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills. A private burial will be held at The National Cemetery of The Alleghenies.
