GLENN M. FARBER, SR.
Glenn Minford Farber, Sr., age 91 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died on Friday, May 31, 2013. He was born on January 25, 1922 in Jefferson Township (now Jefferson Hills Borough) Pennsylvania, one of three children of Elgie C. and Jeane Farber. Glenn was a Chemical Operator for US Steel at the Clairton Works, in Clairton, Pennsylvania for 37 Years. He served as a Corporal in the U. S. Marine Corps during WW II in the Pacific Theatre and was a volunteer for the Clairton Food Bank for 10 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters and a stepson, Greg Bowers. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris (Stevens) Farber; two children, Glenn Farber, Jr. and Linda Farber; two stepsons, David and Scott Bowers; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
There was no visitation or service. Interment was in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
