GLADYS O’CONNOR JAMESON
Gladys O’Connor Jameson, age 89 of Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania formerly of Verona, Pennsylvania and Fort Myers, Florida, died Monday, November 5, 2012. She was born Gladys Fay Boughamer on October 30, 1923 in Verona, one of six children of John Kenneth and Mable (Long) Boughamer. Gladys retired from many years with Rockwell Manufacturing in Pittsburgh and later many years with Stein Mart of Fort Myers. She loved the beach and the sunsets on the Gulf side of Florida.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Benedict Francis O’Connor (in 1966) and Nicol Jameson (in 1980); a grandson, Douglas McVicker (in 2003); three siblings, Alberta Covert, Irma Mikol and Perce Boughamer and a son-in-law, Stephen Karaffa. Gladys is survived by two daughters, Maureen (O’Connor) McVicker and her husband William “Bill” of Pleasant Hills and Marilyn (O'Connor) Karaffa of Penn Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, William McVicker, Jr., Jodi McVicker, Scott (Danielle) McVicker, Craig (Amy) McVicker, Stephen Karaffa and Adam (Amy) Karaffa; seven great grandchildren, Shawn, Samantha, Wesley, Ian, Catherine, Nichole and Tristan and two brothers, Kenneth Boughamer of Portland, Oregon and Raymond Boughamer of Fort Myers.
Friends will be received in the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 11 AM untl 12 Noon at which time a Memorial Service will be held with Reverend Jude Urso, of the Windover Hills United Methodist Church in South Park, officiating.
Gladys was an Organ Donor through CORE.
