George J. Shallenberger

George Shallenberger, age 50 of Finleyville, Pennsylvania, died suddenly on Saturday, November 4, 2023.  He was born George Joseph Shallenberger on March 12, 1973, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, the son of George Kelly Shallenberger and Dorothy Theresa (Krajnik) Shallenberger of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania.

George was a Thomas Jefferson High School graduate in 1991. He worked for Marcegaglia Metals of Homestead, Pennsylvania as a welder. He loved fishing, hunting, and the beaches of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Shallenberger in 2022 and is survived by his wife, Sandra (Crouch) Shallenberger of Finleyville; his son, William “Bill” Shallenberger and daughter, Amanda Shallenberger; his parents, Dorothy, and George; and aunts, Marianne Kranik and Valerie Karpeal.

A Memorial Mass will be held for George on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 10:30 AM in St John XXIII Parish, St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church 1216 Collins Avenue, Floreffe, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025.
