Gaylord Lee “Pete” Fleming
Age 79 of LaBelle, Pennsylvania on April 29, 2012 at Monongahela Valley Hospital, Monongahela, Pennsylvania with family by his side. He was born April 20, 1933 in Morgantown, West Virginia 1 of 7 children to Gaylord Ozier Fleming and Hazel Anna Lee (Nestor) Fleming.
Pete was raised in Forward Township, Pennsylvania and retired as a steel worker from U.S. Steel Irvin Works in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. His hobbies included working on cars and cookouts, and he loved country music and flea markets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Fleming (Dod: May 24, 2008); 3 siblings; Kenneth Dale Rogers, Doris Viviano and Charles Merle Fleming.
He is survived by 5 children, Gaylord Lee "Pat" Fleming, Jr. of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, Laura (Paul) Ginsburg of Monongahela, Becky (John Ingram) Fleming of Star Junction, Pennsylvania, Sharon (Tim) Tortorice of Elrama, Pennsylvania and Jean (Jeff) Dragone of Charleroi, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren, Laurie, Dustin, Sara, Matthew, John, Julie, Amanda, Timothy, Jr., Tina and Joshua; 3 siblings, Mary Eleanor Andrews, Kathleen Booth, and Howard Vernon Fleming; a nephew, Charles Vernon Fleming and 3 nieces Carol, Jennifer and Lorie.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 1 - 4 and 6 – 8:30 PM and on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 10 AM until the hour of his FUNERAL SERVICE AT 12 NOON in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania.
