Gary Hemminger
March 2, 1947 — August 20, 2016
Gary L. Hemminger, age 69, of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 20, 2016 with his family by his side. He was a son of the late Orville K. and Frances (Barth) Hemminger. Gary was a long time member of the American Legion and VFW.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Weiss. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Roberta “Birdie” Hemminger; two children, Ryan Orville (Leah) Hemminger and Kelly (Tim) Wolfgang; four grandchildren, Grace Hemminger, Isabelle Hemminger, Lincoln Hemminger and Evan Wolfgang.
Friends will be received from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 and from 10 - 11 am on Wednesday at Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, PA 15025, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. A burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.
