FRANCIS YOCUM
Francis Thomas Yocum, age 79 of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania died on Thursday, October 31, 2013. He was born December 22, 1933 in Pittsburgh, one of five children of William Joseph and Margaret Elizabeth (Gazdik) Yocum. Francis was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William Yocum and a sister, Margaret Kaminski. He is survived by his wife BernadetteMarie (Wolf) Yocum; five children, Lynn (Beth) Yocum, Thomas (Gina) Yocum, Judith (Mike) Sobolak, Michael (Lloyd) Yocum and William (Bridget) Yocum; two stepchildren, John (Rita) Katics, Jr. and Michelle (Kurt) Katics; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two sisters, Isabelle (Robert) Wyzykowski and Patricia Yocum.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills from 1 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2013. A prayer will be held in the funeral home on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 9 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth at 10 AM, with Father Thomas Wagner Celebrating the Mass. Burial with Military Honors will be in Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
