ELSIE (KROMER) BENTLEY
Elsie Bentley, age 84, of the Shire Oaks area of Elrama, in Union Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, October 3, 2013. She was born Elsie Helen Kromer on October 16, 1928 in Trafford, Pennsylvania, one of nine children, of Joseph, Sr. and Catherine Kromer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Lewis Bentley on December 24, 2011 and seven of her siblings.
Elsie is survived by her five children, Bonnie Jo Livernois of Asheville, North Carolina, Barry James and George David Bentley, both of Elrama, Jean Ann Montgomery of Forward Township, Pennsylvania and Kristine E. Bentley of Wilmore, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and her sister, JoAnne "Babe" Grande of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Friends will be received from 1 – 4 PM Sunday and 4 – 7 PM Monday in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. A prayer will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM in St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church on Collins Avenue in the Floreffe / Elrama area with Father Robert Boyle officiating. Burial, with her husband, will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
