Elizabeth Staley

Elizabeth  “Suds” Staley, age 95 of Forward Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019.  She was born in Glassport, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth DiBattista on November 11, 1923, one of five children of Anthony and Fraolina (DiNino) DiBattista.

Elizabeth was a member of the Ladies Uplift Circle, Glassport Local for over 70 years and was a past Secretary.  She was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Glassport for 80 years, where she had previously been a Sunday School Teacher and was known for her baked goods.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Staley, Sr. in 1990, her son, James R. Staley, her brothers, Anthony DiBattista, Jr. and John DiBattista, and her sister, Esther Dyer.  Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Thomas H. (Gelsa) Staley, Jr., of Florida, Kenneth L. (Sharon) Staley of Arizona and Anthony M. Staley of Forward Township; grandchildren, Cameron T. Staley, Jameson T. Staley, Cathy Staley & Brian Staley; step grandchildren, Domenick Risola & Daniel Risola; great grandchildren, Bianca, Christian, Leo, Courtney & Caitlyn; step great grandchildren, Dante, Ty, Angelica & Logan; and one sibling, Florence (William) LaRosa.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, where her funeral service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10:30 am with Evangelist Tony Ricci and Elders Ken Staley and Cameron Staley officiating.  Her burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
