ELEANOR (ALFONSI) FICORILLI
Eleanor Mary Ficorilli, age 85, of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, August 10, 2013. She was born December 1, 1927, in the L’Aquila area of Italy, a daughter of Giosafatte and Felicia (DiGiacinto) Alfonsi. Eleanor graduated from Clairton High School in Clairton, Pennsylvania in 1946. She worked over 20 years in the laundry department of McKeesport Hospital in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and had been a member of the Christian Mothesr at St. Joseph Parish in Duquesne, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Filippo “Phil” Ficorilli on April 14, 2000 and three brothers, Martin, Jack and Thomas Alfonsi. Eleanor is survived by her five beloved children, Father Chad Robert Ficorilli, O.S.B. of St. Vincent, Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Philip (Arlene) Ficorilli of West Mifflin, Thomas Ficorilli, of Pawley Island, South Carolina, Teri Ann (Sam) Crisafulli of State College, Pennsylvania and Michael (Carole) Ficorilli of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania; 11 beloved grandchildren, Thomas, Erin, Courtney, Lindsey, Jason and Ashley Ficorilli, Kaitlyn Charmbury, Maria Angelina, Sam, Alicia and Cristyn Crisafulli; two siblings, Antonio Alfonsi and Mary Gabriel and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. A prayer will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:15 AM with Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Catholic Church in West Mifflin following at 12 NOON. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Lebanon Church Cemetery also in West Mifflin.
