ELAINE ALLSHOUSE
Elaine Joy Allshouse, age 73, formerly of Large in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her home in Wesley Chapel, Florida. She was born on October 1, 1942 in Large, a daughter of William James and Thelma Belle (Smith) Allshouse. Elaine was a Legal Secretary for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania working in the former State Office Building in Downtown Pittsburgh. She graduated in one of the first classes of Thomas Jefferson High School; was a former member O.E.S. of the Clairton Lodge; a long time member of Pine Run United Methodist Church in Clairton, Pennsylvania and a current member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Wesley Chapel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Art Breitinger. Elaine is survived by her brother, Merle C. Allshouse of Wesley Chapel, with whom she resided; a sister-in-law Isabelle (the late Harry) Breitinger of Dravosburg, Pennsylvania and was the loving Aunt of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51, Large in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:30 AM. A graveside interment will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.
