Edgar Minford

EDGAR MINFORD

Edgar Minford, age 97, of the Elizabeth Forward area in Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at his home.  He was born August 23, 1916 in Jefferson Borough, Pennsylvania (now Jefferson Hills) one of 10 children of Harry Henry Minford and Grace (Frazier) Minford.  Edgar worked as a truck driver for River Shipping and the Large Distillery and later as a maintenance man for the West Jefferson Hills School District.  He served in the Air Force during WW II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven of his brothers and sisters.  He is survived by two brothers, Howard of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania and Bob of Florida.

Friends will be received from 11 AM until 1:30 PM on Friday, December 27, 2013 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania.  His burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
