DUANE  RICHEY

Duane Robert Richey age 78, most recently of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.  Duane was born on June 8, 1938 in Homestead Hospital in Homestead, Pennsylvania, one of two sons of Robert Vincent Richey and Ruth Lucille (Emery) Richey.  He was raised in Duquesne, Pennsylvania and lived most of his life in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.  Duane was an Insurance Broker, retired from Marsh McLennan Insurance Company; an Ordained Elder in the Lebanon Presbyterian Church, a past member of the Youghiogheny Country Club and an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is the beloved husband of 60 years of Nancy Joan (Yaest) Richey.  He is the father of three daughters, Belinda (Kenneth) Eber, Shari (Mark) Strawins and Amy (John) Hines; grandfather of six, Kate, Amanda, Alexis, Jorge, Joshua and Matthew; great grandfather of three, John, Mia and Luca; brother of Daryl (Sue) Richey and is also survived by nephews and a niece.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 1 – 4 PM and 6 – 8:30 PM.  His funeral service will be on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11 AM in the Lebanon Presbyterian Church, 2800 Old Elizabeth Road, West Mifflin, Pennsylvania 15122.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers his family suggests donations be sent to the Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
