Dorothy "Dot" HANEY
Dorothy Ann "Dot" (Novak) Haney, of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, formerly of West Homestead, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, November 2, 2014. Dorothy was born December 1, 1925 in Homestead, Pennsylvania, one of four children of Joseph Thomas and Adaline (Lininger) Novak.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry William “Bill” Haney (Dod: October 3, 1989) and two of her siblings, a sister, Bernadette Verna and her only brother, Thomas Novak.
Dot is survived by her two children, daughter, JoAnn (Daniel) Sippos of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania and son, Harry W. (Terry) Haney of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Amy (Stamatis Marinos) Sippos, Daniele Sippos, Harry W. Haney, III, Christopher J. Haney; two great-grandchildren, Xenia and Lucy and her sister, Rose (Steve) Stasko of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 10 AM. The Reverend Father Thomas Wagner of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth Township will be officiating. Burial, next to her husband, will be in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
