DORIS (TRIMNAL) STOCK
Doris M. Stock, age 86 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born, Doris Mae Trimnal on October 1, 1931 in the Coal Valley area of Allegheny County in Pennsylvania, a daughter of Irby and Janet (Wilds) Trimnal. Doris graduated from Clairton High School, Clairton, Pennsylvania, Class of 1949. In 1954 she married her loving husband, Harry Alvin Stock, Jr. She retired as a Nursing Assistant from Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills. She served as Treasurer of the Wilson Civic Association, was an Elections Poll worker and a 50-year member of St. Thomas A’ Becket Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills. An avid bingo player, she enjoyed many trips to casinos and purchasing scratch-off and raffle tickets. Some of her favorite times included playing with beloved pets, Gigi and Penny.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, in 2006 and two brothers, Charles and Wayne Trimnal. She is survived by five children, Harry (Phyllis) Stock, III of West Mifflin, USAF Colonel Charles (Donna) Stock, DMD of Washington DC, Glenn (Donna) Stock of Brentwood Borough in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Janet (George) Lion of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania and Debbie (Jim) Mayher of Jefferson Hills; Seven grandchildren, whom she worshipped, Harry (Andrea), IV, Taryn, Dana, Marie, Marc, George (Brianne) and Craig; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, Gavin and Ben; two brothers, Lawrence ( Shirley) and Odis (Dodi) Trimnal; a brother-in-law, Richard (Barbara) Stock and sister-in-law, Nancy Stock.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home (Large) in Jefferson Hills on Sunday, January14, 2018 from 3 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Thomas A’ Becket Catholic Church 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Elizabeth Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Animal Rescue, 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15208.
Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, her kindness and warmth will be greatly missed.
May she at last be free from pain and reunited with the love of her life, Harry.
