Debra Jo McDevitt age 55, of Jefferson Hills, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Manor Care in Whitehall. An avid TJ Jaguars fan, Debbie loved her EH Griffith family, where she worked for over 30 years. She was instrumental in the organization of the annual Chuck McDevitt Memorial Golf Outing which benefited the American Cancer Society and the TJ Golf Boosters.
Debbie was born August 27, 1956 in McKeesport a daughter of Charles Robert and Barbara Helen (Nagy) McDevitt. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sisters, Sharon (Donna Imhoff) Mozzoni of Brentwood and Lisa (Joseph) Marcheleta of Jefferson Hills; niece, Kelsie Mozzoni; nephews, Brian Mozzoni, Rocky and Nicco Marcheleta; great nieces, Eleni and Kylie Mozzoni; uncles and aunts, Stephen and Audrey Nagy and Robert and Lois Nagy.
Friends will be received from 4 - 8 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2012 and from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2012 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, where her funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 11, 2012, with Reverend Judi Slater officiating.
In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Western PA Chapter, 810 River Ave, Suite 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Please make checks payable to CF Foundation and note “Debra McDevitt Memorial”.
