DAVID M. PATERSON
David Paterson, age 90 of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 16, 2014. He was born the only son of David and Catherine (McDonald) Paterson. He retired from US Steel, Irvin Works in West Mifflin, as a supervisor and was a WW II US Army Veteran, who was involved in the Battle of the Bulge.
In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Werbeck. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Paterson; four children, Cheryl (Joseph) Depretis, Jan (Hal Brandt) Paterson, David (Diane) Paterson and Pam (Jay) Harrison; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Tarpey, Kristen (Steve) Bowman, Ryan (Jessica) Depretis, Carey (Heather) Ellwanger, Nicole (George) Yaroscak, Kelly Paterson, David Paterson, Katie (Jason) Spin, Betsy Harrison and Joey Harrison; 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Betty Jones.
Friends will be received on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 6 – 8 pm and Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 1 – 3 and 6 – 8 pm in the Stephen D Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. A prayer will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 9:30 am, followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Angels Catholic Church in the Hays section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Interment will follow in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania at 12:30 pm with Military Honors.
