DAVID DANIEL KORTE
Age 55 of Pleasant Hills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away quiet and peacefully on Friday, February, 10, 2012. David was born on March 3, 1956 in Hazelcrest, Illinois.
He graduated from Hillcrest High School in the Chicago area. David was a Travel Agent with American Express and was also a Travel Agent Instructor at Duff’s Business School in Pittsburgh, in the 1980’s. Two of his favorite travel spots were Punta Cana and Ireland. He also had a photographic memory, was a music enthusiast, an avid scrapbooker, enjoyed going to the casino and loved computers, technology and Notre Dame Football.
David was preceded in death by his father, David Daniel Hines, Jr. and his grandmother, with whom he was very close, Mary Katherine Folkner.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy McFadden and step father Carl, of Arizona; best friends David A. North of Pleasant Hills and Daragh O’Sullivan of Clairton; sister, Tami Korte of Brook, Indiana; niece, April L. Summers of Morocco, Indiana; nephews, Christopher (Jade) Meroney of Noblesville, Indiana and Nicholas (Tiffini) Ketchum of Eglan Airforce Base, Florida; 8 great nieces and nephews Keeleigh , Katelyn, Chloe, Paige, Noah, Xavier, Lexi and Hannah; a canine companion, Oscar and many aunts.
A private memorial service was held by David’s family.
