CYNTHIA  (GANGONE)  HEALY

Cynthia Ann Healy, born on June 22, 1957 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, passed away in the comfort of her home in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 after a 1 ½ year battle with cancer.  She is a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Florida State Seminoles.  Cindy earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and her Masters in Health Care Administration from the University of Central Florida.  She worked in healthcare her entire professional life starting as a floor nurse at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh; was a certified Diabetic Educator and worked at Orlando Health for 25 years, retiring as a director of quality improvement.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Dolores Jean (Polosky) Gangone and her only sibling, Louis Gangone.  She is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband, Richard of Orlando; two daughters, Caitlin Healy of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jessica (James) Boland of South Park, Pennsylvania; two beautiful twin granddaughters, Avery and Brie; two aunts, Helen Caviggia of Derry, Pennsylvania and Joanne Gangone of Wampum, Pennsylvania and numerous loving and supportive cousins and hundreds of friends.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11 AM in St. Thomas A’ Becket Catholic Church, 139 Gill Hall Road also in Jefferson Hills. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
