CAROLINE “CUTCH” MEASMER
Caroline Measmer age 100, whose nickname was “Cutch”, died on October 4, 2017 at Arden Courts of Jefferson Hills. She was born, Caroline Ellen Callin, on January 12, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania one of twelve children of Charles Thomas Callin and Sarah (Ebright) Callin. She grew up in the Mt. Washington section of Pittsburgh, was a graduate of South Hills High School and worked as a bank teller for Pittsburgh National Bank, now PNC Bank.
In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by both of her children, daughters, Carolyn Weber and Marilyn Parzick; a great granddaughter, Allison Parzick and ten of her siblings. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Ryan (Romy) Parzick, Nate (Andrea) Parzick, Brad (Sue) Weber, Bret (Andrea) Weber, Eric (Kelly) Weber, Misty Weber and Blair Weber; eleven great grandchildren, Marianna, Jacob, Adam, Rachel, Kienan, EJ, Alea, Tyler, Jacob, Noah and Ashley; four great-great grandchildren, Bexleigh, Kensington, Brooke and Adley; her only remaining sibling, Sarah Clarke (age 102!) and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 412-384-0350 on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5 – 7 PM and on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10 until 11 AM at which time her funeral service will be held.
