CAROL (CHAROK) GIDEL
Carol Gidel, age 69, of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, formerly of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. She was born Carol Mae Charok on September 12, 1947 in West Mifflin, the only child of Peter Paul and Agnes Marie (Dovichin) Charok.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by numerous cousins. She is survived by her husband, Barry Gidel of 44 years; two children, daughter, Bethany (Robert) Neal and son, Ryan (Jonita) Gidel both of the Elizabeth area; four grandchildren, Evan and Justin Neal and Sophia and Phineas Gidel and numerous cousins.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 3 – 8 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 101 McLay Drive, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania 15037, with Father Thomas Wagner Celebrating the Mass. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Her burial will follow, graveside, in Calvary Cemetery in the Hazelwood section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
