ARLENE “SALLY” CHRISTOFEL
Sally Christofel, age 83, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania died Sunday, October 21, 2012. She was born Arlene Lucille Holdsworth on November 1, 1928 in Jefferson Township (now Jefferson Hills) one of five children to James and Ethel (Eden) Holdsworth. Sally was a 15 year participant in the Jefferson Regional Cardiac Rehab Program, a charter member of the West Jefferson Hills Historical Society and a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church in Jefferson Hills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon L. Christofel in 1968 and all of her siblings, sisters, Thelma Hamilton, Mary Hartlein and Mildred Berguin and brother, Alfred "Bud" Holdsworth. Sally is survived by three children, two sons, Kevin L. Christofel and James E. (Denise L.) Christofel and daughter, Kathy L. (Cliff) Kosmatine; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn (Scott) Poploski and Carolyn Barry and one great-granddaughter, Julie Lynn Poploski.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, where her funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Reverend Sandra Marsh-McClain of the Jefferson United Methodist Church in Jefferson Hills will officate at the service. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania..
